Congratulations to Feng-Yang Chen who defended his MS thesis on June 27, 2019! His thesis research focused on characterizing an important class of glycosylation enzymes known as oligosaccharyltransferases (OSTs). Specifically, the project involved exhaustive mapping of bacterial OST substrate specificity using a high-throughput screening screening platform called "glycoSNAP" that was developed by former DLRG postdoc Anne Ollis. Feng-Yang is now a first-year PhD student in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Rice University.
