Gathering of research groups to discuss biomolecular engineering at Cornell

Among biomolecular engineering groups within CBE, there is a large diversity of research topics and expertise. To harness this diversity, graduate students within each of these groups recently organized the first annual Bioretreat to promote a lasting culture that fosters fellowship, collaboration, and innovation for a synergistic ecosystem among biomolecular researchers. The retreat, which took place August 15-16 at Greek Peak Resort in Virgil, NY, helped to cultivate a more thorough understanding of the current expertise and interests of the biomolecular groups at the student level and laid the foundation for many new research collaborations between these groups.
