Congratulations to Azmain Alamgir who has been selected as one of 6 winners (out of 64 total competitors) to receive a 2023 AIChE Division 15 Oral Presentation Award at the AIChE Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL. Azmain's award winning presentation was entitled "Bioreversible Anionic Conjugation Platform for Functional Protein Delivery with Ionizable Lipid Nanoparticles" and was presented in the the Micro- and Nano-Scale Technologies for Drug Delivery session. In his talk, Azmain described his efforts to engineer a new chemical biology strategy for intracellular protein delivery, work that he has been pioneering as a jointly advised PhD student between the DeLisa and Alabi labs in CBE. One of the competition judges noted "Excellent presentation with great visual aids and clean slides. The motivation of the work was clear as was the data being presented as well as its significance. Overall, it was fantastic!" The award includes a $600 cash prize, so not bad for a day's work. Way to go Azmain!
