Belen and Erik were selected as winners of the best poster competition at the 2023 Society for Glycobiology Annual Meeting on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Congratulations to Belen Sotomayor and Erik Bidstrup who each received a best poster award for their presentations at the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Society for Glycobiology on the Big Island of Hawaii. Belen's poster was entitled "Glycosylation of full-length antibodies in bacteria equipped with single-subunit oligosaccharyltransferase from Desulfovibrio marinus" and featured her discovery and characterization of an exciting new biocatalyst that has the ability to promote glycosylation of human antibodies expressed in bacteria. Erik's poster was entitled "N-linked glycosylation of structured protein domains in cell-free reaction environments" and described his work to understand important mechanistic aspects underlying the protein glycosylation process that occurs in our recently described cell-free glycoprotein synthesis systems. Congrats to both on the well-deserved recognition!
